Campus Safety Report Available
The 2007-08 UCSB safety report, “Dedicated to the Safety of Our Community: The Cleary Act Campus Security Report,” is currently available. The annual report, including the 2006 crime statistics, is posted in accordance with the “Jeanne Cleary Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act,” formerly the “Students Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act.” The report includes statistics for the past three years concerning crimes reported that occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings or on property owned or controlled by the University, and on public property adjacent to the campus. The report also includes campus policies concerning campus security, such as those related to alcohol and other drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, victims’ assistance programs, student discipline, campus resources, and other matters.
