National Research Council Rankings

In the lastest rankings by the National Research Council, four UCSB programs were ranked within the top ten in the country (Geography, Materials, Physics, and Religious Studies). Graduate programs in Anthropology, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Ecology, Evolution & Marine Biology, Geology, and Spanish & Portuguese ranked in the top 20. Overall, approximately half of the UCSB programs so ranked were within the top 25 departments nationally.
